Summer yummies

Get the pick of the crop at this Sunday’s Farmers’ Market at Secretts Farm Shop in Milford on Sunday 17 July from 10am-1.30pm.
The market features around 40 stalls
selling fresh, local, seasonal produce including mouthwatering soft fruits such
as strawberries, raspberries and redcurrants. There will also be a range of
summer salads and vegetables, beef, poultry, pork, lamb, game, cheese, bread and
cakes, wine, eggs, pies, plants and herbs as well as jam, chutneys and fruit
juice.
TV fun
The market venue Secretts is
also being used by Children's BBC (CBBC) for filming this weekend. Children's
programme Trade your way to the
USA will see teams of children competing
against each other to raise as much money as they can from everyday items.
Milford Farmers' Market is held on the third Sunday of each month. The
market regularly hosts charity and educational events, such as Apple Day,
Farmhouse Breakfast Week, Harvest Festival and school
projects.
